Kano State House of Assembly has Commended,Kano State Public Complaints and Anti – Corruption Commission for the giant strides of recovering looted funds.
Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji Jibrin Ismail Falgore announced this, while receiving Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimingado and top management of the commission during a courtesy visit.
He said, the assembly prioritize the yearning and aspirations of the people in the state.
Speaker Jibrin Ismail Falgore also said, when the law that established the commission were brought for amendment, the parliament will do the needful.
On his part, Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimingado, said the purpose of the visit is intimate the assembly on the activities of the commission.
He said, the commission was established in 2008, and amended in 2010, and it needs to be reviewed for efficient service delivery.
Barrister Muhyi Magaji Rimingado further said the commission is facing various challenges which includes legal bottlenecks for civil forfeiture, funding, establishment of new departments among others.
