First Lady of Nigeria Remi Tinubu Receives Warm Welcome In Kano


It was a rousing welcome for the Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu who began a one-day visit to the ancient city of Kano.

The presidential jet conveying the first lady, and her entourage touched down Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to the receptive hands of Kano state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, members of his cabinet, and thousands of NNPP loyalist

After a brief airport ceremony, the motorcade of the Oluremi Tinubu head to pay a courtesy call on the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.

Hundred of people including school children lined up the streets to welcome the first lady to Kano.

Mrs. Tinubu is in Kano to commission a multi purpose hall named after her at the faculty of Law, Maryam Abacha American University, Kano campus.

From the itinerary made available to Radio Nigeria, pyramid FM in Kano, the visiting First lady will after the inauguration of the hall at MAUN, Kano campus move with her entourage to Government House for launch.

She is expected to depart for Abuja later in the day.
