Kano state ministry for education has been called all agencies under the ministry to comply with it’s newly policies on Education.
The state commissioner for Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa announced this during the meeting with all Heads of Agencies under the ministry,all zonal Directors and stakeholders.
He said the meeting was called in order to discuss the issues that will move forward education sector in the state.
“We are here to discuss the way forward as you know the present administration prioritized Education as a backbone to the development of any society”. Doguwa said
The commissioner also said, Kano state government budgeted 49.9 percent on Education, which is first of it’s kind in the history of the state.
Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa pointed out that, the newly policies of the present administration on Education are: the number of Zonal education Officers will reduce, the policy of principal Directors has gone, all monitoring and evaluation Department will revive as new improve time book will be sent to the all schools in order to push out none attending class Teachers.
“The number of staff to each Department will not be more than 22 which is base on seniority, the remaining will deployed to class room in order to fill the shortage of manpower in our schools”.
“We will do everything possible to improve the quality of Education in the state. As you know the present administration spent 700 million naira to paid 700 Bayero University student, 1.3 billion naira out standing debt for WAEC, NECO, NBAIS”. The commissioner added
In her welcome address, the parmanent secretary to the ministry Hajiya Kubra Imam commended the present administration for all the support and cooperation given to the ministry for better society.
