Court Restrains Kano Pillars Fans Chairman, 8 Others From Conducting Election

The Kano State High Court on Friday restrained Bashir Idris Mu’azu, Chairman, Kano Pillars Football Fans Club and 8 other defendants from conducting election of the Kano Pillars Football Fans Club, pending the hearing and determination of originating summon.

The Applicants, Alhaji Naziru Aminu Dukawa and 4 others through their counsel, Barrister Sani Garba Ahmed approached the court with an Ex-Parte application together with 18 paragraphs affidavit dated 10th Nov. 2022. The application was duly sworn to by Alhaji Naziru Aminu Dukawa himself.

Justice Usman Mallam Na’abba after hearing Counsel to the Applicants, ordered an interim injunction, restraining Bashir Idris Mu’azu from conducting the election of the Fans Club.

The Five Applicants in the suit include: Alhaji Naziru Aminu Dukawa, Muktar Ibrahim Adanna, Ismaila Adamu Samba, Khamees Yahaya and Ibrahim Alagbado.

While the 9 defendants include: Bashir Idris Mu’azu, Chairman Kano Pillars Football Fans Club, Registers Trustees of Kano Pillars Football Fans Club, Dahiru Ado Sumaila, Chairman Electoral Committee Fans Club, Muhammad Ismaila, Secretary Electoral Committee, Jamilu Uba Adamu among others.

Justice Na’abba adjourned the case to 24th November, 2022 for hearing of Originating Summons.
