An Educationist and an Aspirant ahead of this year Edo Governorship election, Doctor Pastor Azheme Azena, has Appealed to the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders to put in place measures to curtail the hardships and sufferings pupils go through in registering for the National Identity Number, NIN in Benin City.
Doctor Azheme made this appeal in a chat with Radio Nigeria in Benin City.
Doctor Azheme who is also a Pastor, stated that in this era of Globalization, there was the need for the Federal Government to initiate Policies whereby the National Identity Number, NIN can be gotten from the corner of individual doorsteps while logging into the internet.
He decried the current process as being too tedious for pupils.
Recall that most examination bodies, WAEC and NECO including JAMB had last year stated that from this year all her prospective candidates must enroll with their National Identity Number, NIN for the exams.
This development had in recent time led to pandemonium in some of the NIN registration center visited in Benin with several pupils spending days under scorching sun to register.
