The Kano zonal command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is poised to train staff of Kano state Bureau for land management (KSBLM) on forensic Investigation for the Bureau’s operations to be very effective in fighting forgery in the issuance of land documents.
The zonal commandant of the commission, Faruk Dogon-daji disclosed this when he led top officials of the zone on a courtesy visit to Kano state Bureau for land management.
He explained that the forensic investigation would help officers especially those who are working under investigation and verification department to detect forge documents easily and also how to testify their findings in any court of law.
In a statement signed by KSBLM Information Officer Murtala Shehu Umar also said “you need to select those of proved integrity from the pool of your staff for the training as forensic work need workers who are honest, trustworthy and dedicative for the needed dream to be realised”.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Kano state Bureau for land management, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji said the Bureau is now comfortable enough working with Kano zonal command of the anti graft agency.
“our collaboration and closed working relationship that is becoming more strong is giving us more strength and confidence in the crusade in fighting monkey businesses pertaining land transactions in the state” said Dr Zainab Braji.
According to her “we are very pleased for the offer and I am assuring you that we will utilise it for the benefit of the state in general and land administration in particular.”
Dr. Braji also appreciated the good working relationship between her organization and other security agencies that she attributed to the Bureau’s determination to tackle issues of forgery and other land illicit behaviors.
