Exhibit High Sense of Committment -Civil Service Commission Tells New Perm Secs

Permanent Secretaries in the state Civil Service have been enjoined to exhibit a high sense of commitment and decorum in order to shift the trajectory of the Civil Service away from the decaying posture in the state.

Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir (Garkuwan Minjibir) made the call during the handing and taking over of affairs between the outgoing and incoming Permanent Secretaries of the Commission held at the conference hall of the Commission.

Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir explained that the service has over the last few years suffered decay which necessitated concerted effort to save the situation.

He therefore, urged them to deploy their wealth of experience in their new places of work towards the successful implementation of the policy thrusts of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf led administration.

Garkuwan Minjibir, while wishing them success also tasked them to strive to justify the confidence reposed on them in their new assigned posting by the state Government.

Earlier in his remark, while handing over the affairs of his office to his successor, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Salahudeen Habib Isa, who was posted to Cabinet office as Permanent Secretary Special Duties, thanked the Commission’s Management and staff for the unalloyed support towards the successes recorded during his stint at the Commission, calling on them to accord same to the incoming Permanent Secretary.

While expressing appreciation for the staff support and cooperation as well as well wishers who graced the occasion, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Sadiq Mahmud said he would be fair and just to all in the course of his stewardship at the Commission.
