Forth Batch of 150 Kano State Foreign scholarship Departed for India

The forth batch of 150 Kano State foreign scholarship beneficiaries has today departed to India from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for master’s degree in various universities of the country.

Speaking shortly after the take off of the students, the commissioner for Higher Education Dr. Yusuf Kofar Mata who expressed satisfaction for the smooth conduct of the exercise from its inception to the departing point of the 4th batch thanked Kano Kano state governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for reviving the scheme.

He tasked the departing scholars to be good ambassadors of Kano state and Nigeria at large wherever they found themselves and to remain helpful to one another during their stay in oversees country.

In his remark, the managing Director of Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) Dr. Farouk Kurawa who is among the government functionaries escorted the students, advised them to use any opportunity come to their way in order to develop themselves, Kano state and the nation in general.

He also called on them to focus on their studies in order to excel in their academic performance and to emulate the past scholars of the scheme who became reference point in their academic endeavor.
