The Managing Director Galaxy Backbone Prof Muhammad Bello Abubakar has reassured that the country’s fiber optic coverage will circulate across every local goverment of the 36 states of the Federal for optimal ICT Services.
The Galaxy Backbone Boss who was speaking during the ongoing 10th General Meeting of the National Council on Communications and Digital Economy in Ibadan, Oyo State said they have achieved up to 98 percent fiber optic coverage.
Professor Muhammed Bello Abubakar noted that the Galaxy Backbone as the Nation’s ICT agency is working assiduously towards a standard Infrastructural development as sited in the National Digital economy policy and strategy which is under the 3rd pillar.
He said the Galaxy backbone will ensure an unterrupted service delivery to public and private organisations through its rendered services which is supporting collocation, hosting and disaster recovery for organisations.
He added that Galaxy Backbone has an uptime Certified Tier III & Tier IV Datacentres that are available and accessible for use by both the government and private sector organizations to strengthen its asset base and guarantee information storage capacity.
The 2022 National Council and Communication programme is hosting heads of various parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Commissioners of Science and Technology and heads of ICT agencies from the 36 states of Nigeria among others.
