Kano State Government led Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration has been commended for revoked lands allocated illegally to individuals within schools premises by immediate previous administration across the state.
The commendation was made by Gwale Old Boys Association (GOBA), Board of Trustees during a meeting presided by the Chairman Alhaji Imam Ahmad Zubair Galadanchi (mni).
The meeting resolutions also acknowledged the demonstrated concern and commitment of the state government toward the development of education sector across the state .
In a statement signed by National Publicity Secretary of the association Bashir Habib Yahaya the board of trustees also maintained that education stakeholders and other critical organisation such as Schools Old Boys Associations are being encouraging to key in and collaborate with the state government to achieve positive development in the sector .
The trustees further urged the alma mata class chapters to continue to support the association through payment of their annual dues before the forthcoming annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to hold in April, this year.
The association appreciated the efforts of the office of immediate past President, Mahammad Buhari for intervention in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to GSS Gwale which was facilitated by Hajiya Aisha Buhari,his beloved wife.
The presidency intervention in the school includes ,the constructions of 48 new classrooms ,renovated all the dilapidated classrooms and furnished with furniture in addition to interlocked the entire floor of the school premises .
GOBA Chairman Board of Trustees, Alhaji Imam Ahmad Zubair Galadanchi of class 72, donated sixty five thousands naira (N65,000.00) as his contribution to sponsors 10 less privileges students to purchase Join Admission and Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB),forms under the umbrella of Ahmad snd Nafisa foundation.
The National President of GOBA, Engr. Hassan Abdulkadir presented the money cash to the Director of the school on behalf of donor.
