“All these are in addition of renovation, construction and upgrading of hundreds of primary and secondary health facilities across the state. The Governor also built a specialist hospital in each of the newly established Emirates and equipped them with the state-of-the-art equipments with a world-class Cancer Centre at Muhammad Buhari General Hospital none of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.

“Governor Ganduje’s administration has sustained and even fine-tuned the free intervention programmes such as Free Maternal and Child Health, Accident and Emergency, Cleaning and Cleansing, etc where millions of Naira are being expended every month to procure drugs and consumables, and supply them to health facilities for onward dispensing free to the deserving people and to keep hospitals clean and tidy as well”, said the Commissioner.

Dr. Tsanyawa acknowledged the reactive and proactive approaches been taken by Khadimul Islam in containing the Covid-19 pandemic in the state, adding that “If not Kano, being the most populous state in the country, is blessed with a visionary leader like Dr. Ganduje, who has political will to serve his people relentlessly, the issue would haven worsen than any state in the country.”
