Include participation of Vulnerable population in Critical decision- Making Processes, FIDA Urges Government.

The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Nigeria has called for the inclusion and participation of Vulnerable Populations in critical decision – making processes that affect their lives,as well as transparency and accountability of authorities and service providers.

National President FIDA, Mrs Amina Agbaje stated this at a News briefing in Benin City, Edo State Capital as part of activities to mark this year’s 2023 Annual General Meeting of the association.

The FIDA National President who stated that the international Federation of Women Lawyers as a body was committed to Justice and equality will continue to engage experts, policymakers and grassroots organizations for the protection of the Vulnerable.

She explained that such initiative shall focus on advocating for legislative reforms that promote inclusivity and equality for the Vulnerable, with specific emphasis on issues bordering on gender – based violence, discrimination and access to Justice.

On 16 Days activism against Gender based Violence, Mrs Agbaje said FIDA Nigeria remains steadfast in its commitment to prevent violence against women and girls and calls on Government, and other stakeholders to amplify their commitment and investment for improved laws and violence prevention.
