Nigerian Union of Journalist Correspondents Kano Chapel has elect Three positions on oppose.
The newly Exco are News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent Aminu Ahmad Garko emerged as Chairman, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Abdullahi Jalaluddin emerged as Vice Chairman while Bashir Bello Vanguard Newspaper Correspondent emerged as Assistant Secretary to the NUJ gucorrespondents chapel Kano during it’s bi-election.
In his inaugural speech the newly chairman Aninu Ahmad Garko assured their redness to discharge constitutional responsibility effectively.
“Our members will work hand-in-hand with the present administration, in reporting the event in a situation were by it means to attack we will attack, a situation were by it means we will work as a family we will but we not take things for granted.” Chairman Said.
Aminu Ahmad Garko pointed out that, the new leadership of the Union will carry everybody along no matter how any media came from in as much as you are a member of state Correspondents chapel.
“This is the new mission and vision of Garko/Bazazzagi lead chapel.”Chairman Garko said.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion who is commissioner for information Kano State Baba Halilu Dantiye congratulated the newly Exco and assured support and cooperation from the led administration of governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
“Me as Commissioner for Information our relationship will continue. We have done this during the former governor Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso when I was a Director General Media and Publicity Kano government House. We will maintain it now,” Baba Dantiye said.
The commissioner urged the journalist to always write stories that are good as a professional.
“My duty is to mentor, to make Journalist in Kano practice in accordance of what shall be.” He added.
Speaking earlier, state chairman Nigerian Union of Journalist Comrade Abbas Ibrahim commended all the Correspondents in the state for discharging their duties professionally.
He also thanked governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for appointing Baba Halilu Dantiye as an Information Commissioner base on his capability.
The inauguration of the newly chairman, Vice Chairman and Assistant Secretary General came as a result of the vacant for ex-chairman Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu from Thisday newspaper who is now appointed as a Press Secretary to the Kano State Deputy governor and ex-vice chairman Tukur Arab from Voice of Nigeria became Head of Hausa Service and transfer to Abuja and lastly Abbas Aminu Bamalli from News Agency of Nigeria now transfer to Katsina State.
