Just-in: Veteran Journalist Dantiye became Newly Information Commissioner


Kano state Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has posted a Veteran Journalist Baba Halilu Dantiye mni,mon as Newly commissioner of information.

The Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf led the swearing in of the Newly commissioners and members of state executive council shortly after the approval of the state assembly.

The newly information commissioner Baba Halilu Dantiye was a former President Nigerian Guild of Editors after his two term tenure as secretary General of the Union.

Baba Halilu Dantiye was a former Director General Kano government House and retired permanent secretary in the state civil service, he bagged National award of member of order of Niger(mon), by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Commissioner Baba Halilu Dantiye he is Graduate of Cardiff University,UK, he is a member of the prestigious National institute for policy and strategic studies,kuru Jos, (min).

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf also announced that, state deputy governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo will also serve as commissioner ministry for Local government affairs, Haruna Umar Doguwa posted to ministry of Education while Ali Haruna Makoda will serve as commissioner for water resources.

Other newly commissioners are Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf posted to ministry for health,Engr. Marwan Ahmad ministry of worki, Housing and infrastructure. Barrister Haruna Dederi ministry for Justice. Dr Yusuf Kabir Kofar Mata ministry for Higher Education. Nasiru Sule Garo ministry of Environment while Engr. Muhammad Diggol posted to ministry of Transport.

The remaining are Abbas Sani Abbas posted to ministry of commerce and Investment. Hamza Sufyan, ministry for Rural affairs. Dr. Danjuma Mahmud ministry of Agriculture and natural resources. Musa Sulaiman Shanono ministry for Budget and planning. Hajiya Ladidi Garko ministry of Culture and Tourism. Adamu Ali kibiya ministry of land and Survey. Tajuddin Othman ministry of Science and Technology and sheik Tijjani Auwal ministry for Religious affairs while A’isha lawal Saji will serve as commissioner ministry for Women affairs.
