Kano Gov’t Committed in Transforming Land Administration

Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment towards transforming land administration in the interest of economic development.

The Permanent Secretary, Kano State Ministry of Land and Physical Planning, Isiyaku Alhaji Umar disclosed this at the Annual National Conference of the Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria (APPSN) conference holding in Kano.

The Permanent Secretary who is representing the state acting Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo said the state government is very supportive in the current reforms for a better land management across the state.

In a statement signed by information officer state ministry for Land and Physical Planning Murtala Shehu Umar the permanent secretary pointed out that the state government has recently provided funds for the purchase of survey equipment and training of Surveyors to meet the global best practice.

“Kano is a growing cosmopolitan city which needs the best land administration to ensure healthy expansion.” PS Emphasized

Isiyaku Umar further said, the demand for land is increasing rapidly because every human being need land for daily activities in line with this, the state government empowered Kano Geo-information System (KANGIS), which is responsible of digitalized certificate of occupancy with relative ease and maximum security.

The Permanent secretary on behalf of government and good people of the State, thanked the Association for choosing Kano as the host of this year’s occasion.
