Kano Govt, Refugee Commission, One Other Empowers Over 300 On Soap Making

The Kano state government, National Commission for Migrants and internally Displaced Persons (NCMIDP) in collaboration with ABS construction Nigerian Limited has trained more than 300 people on soap making.

The beneficiaries carefully selected from Kabo and Gwarzo local government areas were also given capital to start the acquired skills businesses in a bid to be self reliance.

The Kano state commissioner for Environment and climate change Alhaji Nasiru Sule Garo (a native politician from the said two local government area) who declared the two days training in the Kano metropolis, charged the beneficiaries to utilize the resources judiciously.

This was contained in a statement released and signed by director public relations and englightenment, Kano state ministry of Environment and climate change Ismail Garba Gwammaja which was sent to Pyramid Radio correspondent.

It quoted Garo as further explaining that the gesture was in line of the 100 Days celebration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf couple with kwankwasiyya ideology to bring succour to the teeming populace at the critical time.

He therefore, enjoined the participants to continue to rally round the present administration for more dividents of democracy, and make good use of the opportunity to earn a living, he stressed.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the representative of the Commission Mrs Ade Bayo and the representative of the Consultant Malan Lawan Sale expressed optimism that at the end of the training the participants would now be able to make soap on their own and for commercial purposes, and also commended the participants for their keen interest and cooperation through out the training period.
