Kano Pilgrims Noard Urges L.G Center Officers To Act Promptly- DG Laminu

Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa, has called on the 44 Local Government Hajj Centre officers to demonstrate dedication to their duties during this critical period of finalizing Hajj fares for all intending pilgrims of the state.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa made this call during an emergency meeting with the Local Government Hajj Centre officers in his office.

In a statement signed by information officer state pilgrims welfare Board Sulaiman A Dederi Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa emphasized the importance of meticulous record-keeping in all dealings with intending pilgrims.

The Director General highlighted the recent updates from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria regarding the 2024 Hajj fare. Intending pilgrims who have paid 4,699,000 are required to balance 1,918,032.91, while those who paid 4,500,000 must balance 2,117,032.91, bringing the total Hajj fare for the first category to 6,617,032.91.

Additionally, new intending pilgrims are required to pay 8,254,464.74 as the full Hajj fare for this year.

This adjustment must be completed within a limited timeframe of three days, ending on 28-03-24 at 12:00 noon. Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa emphasized that failure to balance or pay the new registration fee by the deadline will result in exclusion from this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u expressed sincere appreciation to the management staff of the board for their dedication in collecting the bank drafts.
