The Kano state house of assembly has called for the establishment of Kano state polytechnic Annex in Rogo town, Rogo local government area.
This is sequel to the mation moved by member representing the constituency Alhaji Magaji Dahiru Zarewa and was seconded by member representing Dambatta Alhaji Murtala Musa Kore.
He said the called was imperative because, it will positively developed and improve the human life, provide education for all is compulsory upon everybody, more especially entrepreneurs.
Zarewa said considering the large number of population of the state with over 16 million people, according to the 2006 Census, the state has over 14,000 Qur’anic schools with over two million pupils, this help in acquiring skills acquisition and become self-reliant and the state has over 6,000 primary schools.
He further said that Rogo local government borders Kaduna and Katsina states.
The matter was deliberated extensively on the floor of the house.
In the same vein, the house received a petition from member representing Dala Alhaji Lawan Hussain Chediyar Yargurasa over land dispute between Badi’u Islamiyya, Kano state history and culture Bureau and individuals.
He said the matter was brought before him by parents teachers association of the school.
The house has refer the issue to the committee of public petition and that of history and culture and they are to report to the house in two weeks.
The plenary was presided over by the speaker engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari and also announced the received of a letter from governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on the implementation of housing of housing projects for teachers and civil servants in Kano state in collaboration with family funds homes limited of the federal government of Nigeria.
