KNSG Appreciates 2023 Animal Vaccination Exercise – Deputy Governor

Kano State Deputy Governor and Commissioner For Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Comerade Aminu Abdussalamu Gwarzo has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of this year’s (2023)annual vaccination exercise across the 44 local governments of the state.

Comerade Gwarzo, represented by the deputy director Agricultural services of the ministry for local government and Chieftaincy affairs , Alhaji Dahiru Sardo Dawakin Tofa,made this known when he led members of the vaccination committee on a final visit to some of the vaccination centres situated at Warawa, Wudil, Gaya, and Ajingi local governments.

In a statement signed by information officer state ministry for local government and chieftaincy affairs Dahiru Lawal Kofar Wanbai the Commissioner added that the animal vaccination exercise is an annual event sponsored by the state government to treat sick animals and boost the health of the healthy ones for safer human consumption.

He used the opportunity to call on the veretinary doctors and other related personnel to remain vigilant and report any disease that is new to them for promt action and convenient livestock rearing.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of Forum of heads of Agricultural department of 44 local governments, and the head of Agricultural department of Kano Municipal Local government, Alh Sulaiman Isyaku Dakata, said they are thankful to both the state government and ministry for local governments for initiating the vaccination exercise that will along way in improving agricultural activities in the state.

Leaders of Miyetti Allah and FULDAN in the state thanked the state government through the ministry for local governments for the initiation and actualization of the Vaccination of their animals hoping for the continuation of the exercise to uplift the economic the bouyancy of the state.
