KNSG Embarks on Secondary School Renovations

The Kano state government says it has embarke on the renovations of Senior secondary schools in its efforts to modify educational system in the State.

The executive secretary of Kano state Senior Secondary Schools Management Board KSSSMB Dr Bello Shehu disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Kano.

He said the renovations would be done in a public private partnership between Kano state government and some investors which will see schools take 25% ownership of the shops surrounding the buildings while the investors will take on 75%.

Dr Bello Shehu said the project would focus on renovation of class room, renovation of laboratories, construction of toilet, landscaping of schools, construction of Boreholes among others, all aimed at improving educational system in the state.

The executive secretary said their doors remains open for constructive criticism aimed at improving service delivery.

“We are very grateful for Kano state house of assembly, science and technical schools board, State Basic Management Committee SBMC, Parents teachers Associations PTA, SUBEB and other relevant stakeholders for their contributions to the development of the schools”, he added.

He commended the state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his immense support to the developmentt of education in the state.
