KNSG identifies problems of cemeteries – Kachako

Kano State Government idenfies major problems of cemeteries in Kano metropolis.

The chairman of the committee also the commissioner Ministry of Rural and Community Development Alh. Hamza Safiyanu Kachako stated this shortly after receiving reports from team leaders who went round the cemeteries.

He said, the exercise idenfies lack of proper fencing, drainages, security lights, boreholes, security guards and their working facilities.

Alh. Hamza Safiyanu Kachako added that the ministy will forward the report to Governor Abba Kabir for his approval.

He then assured Kano State Government commitsments towards upgrading the condition of the cemeteries.

The commissioner warns people to avoid dumping of refuse in the cemeteries.

Among the visited sites are Gama cemetery, that of Unguwa Uku, Tarauni and court road respectively.

Others are Gandun Albasa, Dan Agundi and Hauren Shanu cemetery of Gwale local government area.
