KNSG Spent Over 15M For Procuring Free Maternal Commodities in January, 2023.

The Kano state government KNSG says it has spent over fifteen million Naira for the procurement of free maternal commodities in the month of January 2023.

The Director General, Kano state Hospital Management Board Dr. Nasiru Alhassan Kabo made this known during the flag off the distributions of the commodities.

Kabo represented by the Director Medical Services for the board Dr. Sulaiman Hamza Mudi said the gesture is part of KNSG efforts in reduce the high rate of material mortality and morbidity in the state.

“From January to December 2022, about 15,577 babies has been delivered in Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital alone and 1,799 Ceazerian Surgery has been performed free of charge with 10,601 Abortion” Kabo said.

He called on wealthy Individuals and Development Partners to continue supporting the noble gesture for the benefit of teeming populace in the state, adding that users of the commodities should judiciously use it in an organized manner, were by commending state monitoring committee for their job well done, urged to sustain the tempo.

It may be recall that, Kano state government through state Hospitals management board are distributing the commodities every month to it’s various healthcare centers for the benefit of people especially women and children in the state.

Received the commodities on behalf of their health facilities, Husaina Sani from Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital commended state government for this wonderful initiative describing it as a means of helping less preivillage on its timing populace.
