KNSG Urged Politicians, Wealthy Individuals to Supports Education

The Kano state Government has called on the politicians and Wealthy individuals in the society to contribute their quota towards uplifting the standard of educational sector in the state.

The State Commissioner of Education Alhaji Ya’u Abdullahi Yan-shana stated this during the Inauguration and Distribution of 105 temporary offer of appointments to primary school Teachers under Madari Education Promotional Committee, held in Warawa Local Government Area.

Yau Yan-shana commended member representing Warawa Local Government in the state house of assembly for employing 105 temporary teachers in the area saying educational sector will be bursted.

He also applauded him for building more classrooms in the area.

The Commissioner further assured of collaboration for the training of teachers.

Also speaking, the chairman of State Universal Basic Board Alhaji Danlami Hayyo, represented by Permanent Member 1 Alhaji Kabiru Ahmad said this is a welcome development in the educational circuit.

Also, Education Secretary Warawa Local Government Area Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad Jemagu said teaching and learning is significantly improving.

Chairman of Madari Education promotional Mudansir Sani Ya’u said that the temporary teachers were offered based on merit.

Chairman Kano State Parents Teachers Association Alhaji Sani Salisu Danhassan said the association was established in 1897 and was formed in Nigeria 53 years ago.

He said they went round the country to see the improvement in the educational sector.

On his part, member representing Warawa Local Government Area Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari said the development is in line with his desire of providing employment opportunities to the teeming youths in the area and to also ensure they meet the required number of teachers in various schools in the area.

The majority leader also said been part of the team that championed the Kano State Free and Compulsory Basic Education introduced by the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Madari further outline success recorded in the area of promoting and improve education in the area which includes construction of 17 blocks of classrooms spread across primary and secondary schools, completion of Girls secondary school Warawa, construction of 18 blocks Islamiyya schools, construction of 11 toilets in both primary and secondary schools, Wall fencing at GSS Warawa, purchase of Bus to Warawa Local Education Authority as well as provision of teaching and learning materials for improvement of quality education amongst others.
