KNSG Will Consider Plea To Allocate Slots For Lecturers In Foreign Scholarship Schemes – Prof. Arzai

Kano State government would study request for lecturers of state tertiary institutions for inclusion in its foreign scholarship program.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Higher Education, Professor Auwalu Halliru Arzai stated when he interacted with management, staff, and students of the School of Management Studies in his office.

In a statement signed by information officer office to the Special adviser to Kano state governor on higher education Aminu Bello Sani Professor Arzai said the government is committed to investing in the education sector as education is an indispensable catalyst for the development of any society.

The Special Adviser recalled the efforts made by the previous administration of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in sponsoring young graduates to pursue higher degrees which translated to fruitful outcomes, as most of the beneficiaries are presently taking the lead in various spheres of human endeavor.

Professor Arzai pointed out that the School of Management Studies has excelled for several decades as a training ground for middle-level manpower in finance Management and business fields.

He advised the School to explore additional sources of revenue generation for sustainability.

Earlier, Hajiya Binta Abubakar Farouk, the Director School of Management Studies described the visit as timely and the first of its kind in the history of the school, she extolled the incumbent administration for the ongoing renovation of the Cooperative Department razed by fire was 95% of completion.

The Director also pleaded with the government to complete the ongoing construction of a new theater that was abandoned several years ago and consider landscaping and interlocking floors in the major area of the school.
