The Kano state Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) says it will use every thing at her disposal for successful implementation of Students social Health Insurance Programme.
The chairman Governing Board of the Agency Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Muhammad Dankadai stated this during the two-days validation of students contributory healthcare programme.
He said the agency is ready to work with any healthcare center accredited by the national health insurance scheme (NHIS).
Dankadai further said each institution which is willing to join the scheme will be encouraged own accredited sick bey and a clinic that most to be accreditedd by the national health insurance scheme as a primary healthcare center that will be entitle to receive capitation money which is between 60 to 65 percent of the premium.
He added that when they qualified for the primary healthcare center they will be given capitation money from which they provide primary healthcare services, the remaining 20 to 25 percent goes to the agency to pay for secondary care when the students are referred to secondary facilities.
In her remarks, the executive secretary of the agency Dr. Halima Muhammad Mijinyawa appreciate all actors who in one way or the other contributed for the success of the validation exercise.
Mrs Mijinyawa also thanks the chairman governing board, his members and KSCHMA staff for their zeal, dedication and commitment to ensure the success of the activity.
