Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency has begins the verification exercise for the beneficiaries of Basic Health-care provision Funds across the State.
The main objective of the exercise is to validate and authenticate the beneficiaries of the programme so as to have a credible data base, and also create awareness among the beneficiaries to ensure effective service utilization.
The verification which began on Monday 18th September, 2023 will last for ten days, and expected to cover over 300 wards across 44 Local Governments area of Kano State.
In a statement signed by the information officer KSCHMA Muhammad Nura Yusuf said the Basic Healthcare provision Fund programme is one of the Equity programme of the State Contributory Healthcare scheme that provide free Healthcare access to the poor and vulnerable group in the society.
The Executive Secretary Kano state Contributory Healthcare management Agency KSCHMA Dr. Rahila Aliyu Mukhtar called on the beneficiaries to come out for the verification exercise in order to continue accessing their free healthcare services.
Dr. Rahila pointed out that the Agency will not tolerate lack of drugs and consumables to its any enrolee’s, and urged all staff to ensure qualitative services are rendered to the beneficiaries for effective implementation of the scheme.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Kano State government for the programme and called on the authorities concern to ensure provision of drugs and consumables at all the time in the respective health facilities for effective services delivery.
