KSCHMA Sensitized Staff on Lassa Fever, Diphtheria, COVID-19 others

The staff of Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency KSCHMA has been sensitised on how to prevent themselves from past spreading diseases like Lassa fever and how to prevent, Diphtheria, COVID-19, Ebola among others aimed at tackling the spread of the diseases in Kano and it’s Environ.

This was contained in a statement signed by public relations Officer of KSCHMA Mohammad Nura Yusuf which was made available to journalist in Kano.

The statement said the Executive Secretary of the Agency Dr. Halima Muhammad Mijinyawa. Informed the staff about the outbreak of the Lassa fever, Diphtheria and also COVID that is still present in Kano State.

Dr. Mijinyawa then urged the staff of the Agency to be cautious in their daily activities and always abide by health professionals advice especially good hygiene of the body and environment to reduce the spread of the diseases in their family and the general public.

During the Sensitization, a paper has been presented on Lassa fever’s symptoms, prevention and management by Isma’il Nasiru a clinical staff of the Agency.

The sensitization was based on the Executive Secretary’s directive to hold a special Morning briefing in addition to usual one that holds every fortnight as part of an effort to create awareness among the staff as well as the general public in order to tackle the menace.
