KSCHMA To Collaborate With Religious Leaders for Its Success

Religious leaders are key stakeholders to enlighten the general public on the benefit of the Contributory Healthcare scheme in the State.

The Executive Secretary of Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) Dr. Rahila Aliyu Mukhtar stated this while she led the management team of the Agency on an advocacy visit to the chief Imam of Alfurqan Jumu’at Mosque.

In a statement signed by information officer KSCHMA Muhammad Nura Yusuf, Dr. Rahila said the scheme can be used by individuals, groups and Associations to sponsor the poor and the vulnerable in the society to access quality healthcare without difficulty.

Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar pointed out that Islam always encourages helping the needy, that’s why some communities have started to sponsor less privilege through Waqaf, Zakka and hubsi for them to access healthcare via various programmes of the scheme to reduce the financial hardship of huge medical bills.

Speaking earlier,the chief Imam of Al-furqan juma’at Mosque Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar described the scheme as a welcome development and promised to support the Agency in enlightening the populace on its activities.

Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar also invited the team to the Ramadan tafsir holding at the mosque to explain to the audience for more awareness and possible enrolment into the scheme.
