KSPHCMB To Commenced 24Hr Services On Selected MSP Facilities

The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KSPHCMB) has Commenced a 4-day human resource for health stakeholders’ engagement on healthcare workers redeployment strategy on selected Minimum Service Package (MSP) health facilities.

This was contained in a statement signed by public relation officer, KSPHCMB Maikudi Muhammad Marafa which was made vailable to Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano.

The statement said in his remarks while declaring the session open, the Executive Secretary of the Board Dr. Tijjani Hussaini stated that, facility readiness assessment was conducted last year in the process of making at least 1 functional Primary Health Care centre to provide a 24 hours services in each ward.

He further stated that, “implementation cannot be done unilaterally, without the input from Zonal to local government level, hence involvement of the Zonal Directors, and Primary Health Care Coordinators of the affected local government areas of the health facilities”.

He enjoined all the participants to do their best in making sure the gaps are filled so that facilities can operate a 24-hour services as soon as possible.

During the engagement session many issues were identified, from infrastructure, human resources, and few services being offered at the Selected facilities.
