Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, has reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf in taking the healthcare system to the great heights.
The Commissioner made the disclosure while receiving Kwankwasiyya Scholars and Medical Doctors at his office.
In a statement signed by the assistant information officer state ministry for health Aminu Sani Ali said the commissioner assured that Kano State Ministry for Health would do all its possible to see the actualization of all the promises made by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the health sector.
Dr. Labaran also appreciated the team for the visit, saying that, “You are not new to us. We are very much aware of your support day and night struggles for years until we won the election.”
Earlier speaking on behalf of the team, Dr. Babangida Sale Kibiya, said they were at the ministry to rejoice with the Commissioner for his appointment as a Commissioner for health, he thanked governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for appointing a well deserved personality.
Dr. Babangida Kibiya further disclosed that they were the medical students sponsored by former governor of the state Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to study various health related fields at Cyprus.
Dr. Kibiya lamented that during their study they faced some challenges when his tenure came to an end. Adding that some of them finished their degrees and couldn’t go for NYSC some of them
about 40 both males and females from them are still awaiting for their certificate.
