Magistrate Court Remands Chinese National over alleged Killing of Kano Lady

Kano state chief Magistrate Court presided over by Hanif Sanusi Chiroma has ordered the remand of Geng Quarong, a Chinese National, allegedly killed Ummukulsum Buhari in Kano.

Quarong was allegedly stabbed Ummulkhuksum Sani Buhari to death contrary to section 221 (B) of penal code law punishable with death under same Law.

He pleaded not guilty upon his arraignment.

Meanwhile, Barrister Khalifa Auwal Hashim prayed the court to remand the defendant in Correctional facility pending when the legal advise will be ready from the office of Attorney General, Kano State

“I pray for an adjournment pending when the legal advise from the office of Attorney General will be ready, because this court lacks jurisdiction to entertain this case,” the counsel prayed.

Consquently, Magistrate Ciroma ordered as prayed.
