NAWOJ Urges Kano State Pilgrims Board To Consider Members In Allocating 2024 Hajj Slots

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has appealed to Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board to allocate Hajj slots to its members in the state.

The National Secretary of the association, Comrade Wasilah Ladan made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Kano state Pilgrims Welfare board in Kano state.

She said, considering the association in Hajj slots will give the women journalists opportunity to freely further educate and enlighten women Pilgrims both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia the cardinal tenets and principles of Hajj rites.

Comrade Wasilah Ladan commended the Director General Lamiu Rabi’u Danbaffa and the management for the warm reception accorded to the NAWOJ entourage during the visit.

The national secretary General of the association commended the Director General for being media friendly and urged him to maintain the tempo with his open door policy.

She also expressed delight on the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf for his various projects on women development and for given women consideration in his administration.

In his remarks, the Director General Kano state pilgrims welfare Board Alhaji Lamiu Rabi’u Danbaffa promised to convey the request to the Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his approval.

He commended the National Secretary and her entourage for the visit and urged them to be media ambassadors while discharging their constitutional responsibilities in the state and the country in general.

“I believe in your capacity to represent Kano State Journalists and the entire country,” Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u said.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u also congratulated comrade Wasila Ibrahim Ladan on her emergence as NAWOJ National Secretary as a youngest lady to attained such position, urged her to be fair and just with her members.

He congratulated women across the world for witnessing yet another international Women’s day, urging them to mark the day with pride of being mothers and leaders who motivate people to become good ambassadors globally.

During the visitation Wasilah Ladan was accompanied by Hajiya Maryam Magaji Auditor State NAWOJ, Binta Kabir, Hassana Sale Usman PRO RIWASA, Bahijja Kabara PRO KNUPDA, Umma Abdul Information and Habiba Sabo Abubakar of Freedom Radio.
