The New Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kano State Chapter has unveiled 4 point agenda to steer the affairs of the Association in the next five years.
The New Chairman, Bishop John Namaza Niyiring made the disclosure while delivering his inaugural speech, shortly after taken mantle of leadership from his predecessor Rev. Adeyemo, Adeolu Samuel held at Kano State CAN secretariat, Sakin Yaki.
He said the 4 point agenda include; promoting Christian Unity in Kano, Solidarity for all, Welfare to all members, building peace in Kano communities and postering Interfaith Dialogue with people with other Faith in Kano.
He also said CAN under his leadership will engage key relevant stakeholders with a view to promoting members’ rights and privileges.
The new Chairman urged bloc of the Association to cooperate with him to achieve the desired goals.
Earlier in his remark the former Chairman of CAN in Kano, Reverend Adeyemo Adeolu Samuel thanked the entire members of the Association for the support and cooperation during his tenure and called on them to extend their kindness to the new Chairman.
His words: “we committed ourselves to keep praying for our dear Kano State and to establish synergic relationship with the state government. God open door of continuous relationship that accorded CAN recognition and involvement in matters that are important for our peace, progress and safety in the state, hence we’re parner of progress with the state government”.
