Nigeria @ 62: Comm. Bunkure Implores for Unity, Forgiveness and Peaceful Coexistence

The Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure has implored Nigerians to continue upholding the principles of unity, forgiveness, sacrifice and peaceful Coexistence for the development of our Country.

The Honorable commissioner made this call in her message made available to Journalist by Chief Public Relations officer, Kano state ministry of higher Education Sanusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa as Nigeria reached it’s 62 years independent anniversary.

Dr. Mariya Bunkure said if we uphold the principles of brotherhood regardless of ethnicity, Religious inclination and political affiliation, our nation will be more great and we reach the esteemed developed countries.

She recalled on how our founding fathers like Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikewe, Ahmadu Bello Sardauna of Sokoto and other nationalist struggled and fought for our independence in 1st October, 1960 without selfishness rather than having one Nigeria.

The commissioner therefore implored the need for all and sundry to follow suit by contributing their quota to the nation building.

“Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria, Long Live Kano State”.
