Nigerian Workers’ Situation Beyond Abnormal – Labour Leaders

Nigerian workers have expressed worry over the present socioeconomic situation being experienced in the country .

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 28th annual national Management/Industrial Relations seminar, in Ilorin, the national president of the Chemical and Non Metallic Products Senior Staff Association of Nigerian (CANMPSSAN), Comrade Segun David, said that, “the take home of every worker cannot take them to the company gate”.

He called on the government to do more at improving welfare of the Nigerian workers in the face of the challenging situation.

The union leader, advised Nigerian workers on the need to strategize on how to manage expectations in the face of dwindling incomes and understand the reality on ground.

Comrade David explained that the employers are struggling to adapt with the unfavourable government policies .

He noted that the cost of doing business in the country is getting unbearable.

In his remarks the on the occasion the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Metro,in Kwara state, Babatunde Dosumu, urged Nigerians to always volunteer information to security agencies to enable them discharge their duties as expected.
