Two days after the opening ceremony of the National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Delta State, no fewer than nine different sports would be commencing at various competition venues today (Monday).

The sports include athletics, swimming, dart, golf, gymnastics and hockey, scrabble, shooting and swimming.

A visit to the main bowl of the Stephen Keshi Stadium (venue for the athletics), revealed that the Tanta Tracks had been given a face lift, and cleared of unwanted obstructions.

Officials were sighted, perfecting all the arrangement to allow for smooth take off of field and track events.

The situation was the same when our reporter covering the National Youth Games arrived at the Swimming Pool section of the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

The athletes were sighted rehearsing, with their coaches giving out necessary instructions.
