The emir of Gaya Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Aliyu, has reiterated his emirate’s commitment, in supporting policies and programs aimed at uplifting education to global standard.
Dr. Ibrahim made the indication, while receiving the management of Police secondary school Dawakin Kudu, Kano.
According to the emir, Gaya emirate is at the fore front of supporting meaningful development, in terms of education to achieve the desired objectives.
He stressed that, the police academy is the first of it’s kind in the emirate, hence the need for more efforts to maintain the standard.
Dr. Aliyu charged the school management to work ascidiously by inculcating good moral values on their students, saying that, education encompasses academic and moral upbringing.
In his remarks, the principal of police secondary school Dawakin Kudu DSP Haruna Mukhtar explained that, the were at the palace to seek for blessings and introduce themselves to the emir.
He pointed out that, the students acquire academic and necessary security training from the college.
DSP Haruna noted that, the school is run as a unity school, and welcome applications from students all over the federation.
He urged parents to enroll their children for sound and qualitative education.
Radio Nigeria reports that, Police Secondary School in Nigeria cut across the six geo-political zones in the country. The secondary school is owned by the Federal Government along with other military and paramilitary schools in the country,. The school is a citadel of learning for both Police officer’s children and Children of Civilian citizens.
