Radio Nigeria has won three categories in the 17th edition of the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Award, NMNA, held in Ikeja, Lagos.
The categories are the Best Radio station of the Year Award by Boṅd FM Lagos, Friendly Radio Station of the Year Award by Premier FM, Ibadan and Best Reporter of the Year Award by Taoreed Abdullahi in Lagos.
Bond FM is winning the award for a record fourth time, 2017, 2018, 2022 and this edition.
The General Manager, Bond FM, Princess Adenike Adegoke on receiving the award of Best Radio Station of the Year, appreciated the organisers of the award, while promising that Bond FM will continue the giant stride in promoting indigenous contents through broadcasting.
The Friendly Radio Station of the Year Award for Premier FM, was received by the Zonal Director, Ibadan National Station of FRCN, Mr. Dominic Mokikan and the General Manager of the station, Mr. Adedamola Tinubu.
Another Award Reciepient and Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Mattawale, called for collaboration with security agencies in managing fake news and other unverified information capable of causing anxiety and misinformation about the fight against insurgency in the country.
In his message to the occasion, Alhaji Matawalle reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to curbing insurgency and other security challenges in the country.
In a keynote address, the Chairman of the Odua Investment Company Limited, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, who was represented by Mr. Victor Ayetoro, suggested self sufficiency in food production, qualitative education, health and workforce development, anti-corruption measures, energy sector reforms, foreign direct investments, as some of the solutions to Nigeria’s developmental challenges.
The event was well attended by government officials, captains of industry, serving and retired Media Executives including former Director Lagos Operations, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Prince Adeyinka Amosu and some staff of the corporation.
