Director General Kano State Agency for the Control of AIDS Dr. Usman Bashir has called on staff of the agency to be committed and dedicated to their duties in order to make state free from HIV AIDS.
The Director General made the call while addressing members of staff on the need to be punctual to their duty post and perform their tasks optimally.
The Director General also urged the entire staff to shun deliberate absenteeism and lateness to the workplace, adding that he will not tolerate poor attitude and performance towards services entrusted to staff in their respective departments
In a statement signed by information officer state Agency for the Control of Aids Usman Datti Dr. Usman Bashir then acknowledged the effort of some staff that showed dedication to their duty, stressing that the agency will consider boosting employee morel and periodic awards to dedicated staff.
Mean while, the Director General had a meeting with clinical mentors on a courtesy visit to discuss success and challenges regarding effort to end HIV in Kano state.
The outcome of the meeting identified areas of challenges encountered in some hospitals in HIV service delivery and possible solutions to arrest the situation.
The meeting ended up with a special Lunch organized by the Agency to celebrate the Supreme Court Victory of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.
