The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin , has mourned Alhaji Kabiru Usman Fagge, a former staff of Voice of America (VOA), Hausa Service, who died on Friday.
Senator Barau, while extolling the late veteran journalist, said the deceased made remarkable contributions to the media industry both in Nigeria and abroad.
Late Kabiru Fagge began his career at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Kano in 1976 after serving as an educator at Tudun Wada Primary School, Kano State.
In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Senator Barau acknowledged the remarkable contributions of Fagge to the realm of journalism and education.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Alhaji Kabiru Usman Fagge during this difficult time, May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdausi,” he said.
