Voice of Arewa Calls On The Federal Government To Fastrack Safe Release Of All Abducted Students To Reunite With Their Families

A Northern group Known as Voice of Arewa has called on the Federal government as a matter of urgency to push for the safe release of the entire students abducted by bandits across the country to reunite with their families.

The Vice President, Voice of Arewa, Dr. Nabila Yusuf made the call at a press conference in Kaduna.

Dr. Nabila who expressed concern over the harsh realities of Kidnapping, street begging, unemployment and deplorable living conditions in the North, called on the federal government to intensify security across 19 Northern States to stop Kidnapping of the students and other criminal activities.

She emphasized the need for Governors to take measures of fencing open public Schools in their states, since kidnappers main target are public Schools.

“It is the painful truth that cannot be ignored any longer.”

“We understand that people should not remain silent while their communities suffer. Therefore, as the Voice of Arewa, we refuse to accept the status quo.”

“Today, we raise our voices with unwavering resolve, calling upon the President, governors, and all relevant authorities and agencies to take immediate and decisive action.”

Dr Nabila said the group demand urgent rescue of all students under the custody of bandits, restoration of security in Arewa and the country in General.

She further stated categorically that, the group would not rest until all the victims are rescued safely and every person can live in dignity and prosperity across the country.

“Our families, neighbours, friends and future are being snatched away from the safety of their schools.”

“We are the voice of hope, voice of resilience and the voice of arewa together, we will bring about the transformation our people deserve.”

The Vice President of the Group, also appealed to the Federal government to accord priority in empowering youths in the area of Agriculture and Skills acquisition.

“The Federal government should open it doors and open up windows for NGO engagement and relavant stakeholders.”
