The Kano state government says it has acknowledged the role and contribution of Vehicles inspection officers in the transportation industry, assuring of operating an open door policy in moving the ministry Forward.
The state commissioner for Housing and Transport Alhaji sale Kausani stated this while interacting with management of Kano line.
In statement signed by the information officer of the ministry Ibrahim Adamu Kofar Nasarawa, the commissioner explained that the presentation administration is always ready to support any move that will improve the effective services of vehicles inspection officers who are always working round clock to boost the transportation industry.
He however assured that the ministry will do everything possible to restore the glory of the vehicles inspection office in the state through the provisions of adequate facilities to discharge their duties effectively.
On his parts, the Director Vehicle Inspection unit Alhaji Garba Hassan who traced the history of the Unit assured that the state vehicle inspection unit has recorded tremendous achievements especially in the area of revenue generation as well as effective road and vehicles inspection on the roads.
While inspecting the Kano line, the commissioner called on the management of the company to always complement with government effort especially in the area of internally generated revenue.
Kausani then maintained that the state government will look into the possibility in providing additional vehicles and other facilities to compete with other transportation companies in the country.
On his part Managing Director Alhaji Bashir Nasiru Aliko Koki narrated some of the problems and other challenges facing the company particularly on the issues of inadequate of vehicles.
The commissioner further paid a semilar visit to the Kano state Road and traffic Agency KAROTA where he was received by the Managing Director of the Agency Alhaji Baffa Babban Dan Agundi who enumerated some of achievements recorded since he assumed office.
