What Imo Desperate Politicians Need To Know – Ovye

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC Imo state command has read the riot act to desperate politicians who might want to disrupt this Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

Addressing Officers and Men of the Corps ahead of the election in Owerri, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Mathew Ovye pledged the readiness of the Command to provide adequate security to law abiding citizens.

He explained that more than four thousand personnel of the Corps would be engaged to complement the efforts of other security agencies in providing conducive environment and appealed to candidates to play according to the rules.

Mr. Ovye noted that sniffer dogs would also be used to support the operations and warned that the NSCDC would deal ruthlessly with anyone caught in any form of violence during and after the election.

Mr. Ovye assured residents of the state that the NSCDC would maintain neutrality and cautioned his personnel against unprofessional conduct as anyone found wanting would be dealt with.

He called on the electorate to come out and vote for candidates of their choice without any fear of molestation.
