Widen Your IGR Generation, We’ll Ensure Your Welfare, Kano HoS Tells Workers, Land Bereau

The Kano State Head of Civil Service Usman Bala Muhammad has called on the managements of Bureau for Land Management to widen their horizon in generating more revenue to sustain the State.

In statement signed by Director, Public Enlightenment, office of head of service Bintu Nuhu Yakasai quoted Mr Bala as saying this when he received the Bureau delegation on courtesy visit, said the Bureau is an important organ of the Government as it generates revenue for the infrastructural development of the State.

According to Mr Bala who is double as acting Chief of staff, Kano state government house said land is everyone’s business and is the business of well to do individuals, urging the Bureau to use its initiatives to collect more revenue from them to help government be financially independent.

He advised the Management of the Bureau to use stick in handling issues before them with regards to land management, reminding that there were a lot of wrong doings in the past at the land Ministry, reaffirming that with the presence of Dr. Zainab Braji at the Bureau such issues was no longer in existing.

Muhammad advised her that she should do away with bad civil servants and rid the Bureau from land fraudsters.

He added that those who performed well should be recognized and rewarded.

Earlier in her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Land Management, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji asked the new HoS to sit tight and so well to solve all problem bedeviling state Civil Servants.

Dr. Braji congratulated the new HoS and assured him their support and cooperation.

She however called on him to intervene into the issue of State Tertiary Institutions joining strike action embarked upon by Federal Universities, saying the educationally backward of the state or region like ours shouldn’t be part of industrial action.

The Permanent Secretary, Braji said to be grateful to Allah SWT that workers in the State are enjoying their monthly salaries, unlike other states of the federation who default in paying salaries for months.

Meanwhile, the Kano State Head of Civil Service Usman Bala Muhammad, has said that Governor Ganduje told him to use his experience in ensuring workers welfare is guaranteed.

In a statement made available to journalist and signed by the Director Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Binta Nuhu Yakasai, said that the Head of Civil Service made this exclusively.

Yakasai noted that the HoS was ready to realizing the set goals the Executive Governor wanted him to achieve.

She further stated that the HoS revealed that Governor Ganduje wishes him to bring new initiatives that will move the Civil Service to the greater height.

Usman then restated Governor Ganduje expectation of him to see changes in the protection of workers right and see commitment of workers towards their work.

He added that the HoS was already on a top gear towards fulfilling the mandate of his office expectations of workers and that of Governor Gandjue.
