Yuletide: NSCDC Kano Deploys 5,000 Personnel

The Nigerian Security and civil Defense Corp NSCDC says it is deploying five thousand personnel as parts of its preparation of ensuring security of life and properties during Christmas, Boxing day and new year celebration.

This was contained in a statement signed by the public ration officer DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi on behalf of state command which was made available to journalist in Kano.

The statement read “As we are in the countdown to celebrate Christmas and new year, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano command is poised and ever ready to provide maximum security during and after the festive period in the State”.

According to the statement “Against this backdrop, the State Commandant of the Corps, Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari, fsi has approved the deployment of over 5000 regular officers and volunteers for a peaceful and hitch free Christmas and New Year celebration”.

“While the focus is to ensure safety of lives and protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure across nooks and crannies in the State, special attention will be paid and security coverage prioritized around strategic places particularly churches and recreational centers etc”, it added.

“The general public is hereby enjoined to celebrate responsibly and modestly as the Corps will never condone brazen breach of public peace”.
