Kano State government had designed general renovation of cemeteries in 2024 budget.
The commissioner ministry of Rural and Community Development stated this at the Flagged up of sanitation sercise of cemeteries held at Tarauni cemetery.
The commissioner said the provision in the budget are fencing, contruction of drainages,
boreholes and supply of modern working equipments.
Ambassador Hamza Safiyanu Kachako who is acting commissioner of Youth and sports said the ministry had supply working equipments to community service committes and assured to support them for proper clearing cemetery sites and other community services.
On his part the state Chairman of cemetery Committe, the District head of Tarauni sarkin Fadar Kano Malam Ado Kurawa thanked governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, commissioner Hamza Safiyanu Kachako and permanent secretary Alh. Musa Yahaya Bichi for their dedication and commitments towards sanitation of cemeteries.
The state Chairman of community service central working communities Alh. Bashari Nasidi who commended the commissioner for maximum support to their service he pledged to ensure success of the exercise.
Earlier, the permanent secretary of the ministry Alh. Musa Yahaya Bichi said the similar exercise will take place at all cemeteries in metropolis.
